Ken and Traci Craig have owned and operated Professional Chimney Services since 1993 as a service company, providing chimney cleanings, inspections, repairs and maintenance of fireplaces and chimneys. In the spring of 2003, they opened Professional Chimney Services "Fireplace and Hearth Shoppe", a retail store in Columbus, Georgia, offering sales and installation of fireplace related products, while still offering the same quality services for fireplaces and chimneys.
Ken, a U.S. Army Veteran, has been a"Certified Chimney Sweep" by the Chimney Safety Institute of America since 1995, the only nationally recognized certification for chimney sweep professionals. Ken is also Certified by the National Fire Institute as a Certified Woodburning and Gas Specialist. In addition he attends numerous workshops and educational seminars to ensure that he is up-to-date with the most current technical information of the fireplace and chimney industry. Ken currently serves as the Treasurer for the Southern Association of Chimney Professionals. He is the primary sweep, inspector, repairman and installer for Professional Chimney Services. His experience includes all chimney and fireplace related areas, to include roofing, masonry work, and fireplace and chimney renovations. Ken's work ethics and dedication to his customers, have earned him the reputation for providing quality customer satisfaction.
Traci is the manager and primary salesperson of the "Fireplace and Hearth Shoppe". She is also a "Certified Chimney Sweep", with experience in the fireplace and hearth industry since 1995. Traci currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Southeast Hearth, Patio and Barbeque Association. Her previous years of experience in customer service gave her the skills necessary to provide customers with the personal attention to assure their satisfaction in choosing a fireplace product that fits their needs. In addition to expert product knowledge, she is also extremely talented and creative in assisting each customer with the sometimes "overwhelming" task of designing their fireplace to accent their present decor.
Ralph, our newest member of the Professional Chimney Services family, began his career as a Chimney Sweep in October of 2006, receiving his CSIA certification in June 2007. Ralph comes to us from the Tampa, FL area, where he served as a Firefighter/EMT for two years. Although Ralph has not been with us long, he has proven that he is dedicated to providing our customers with professional and courtesy service. We are extremely excited to welcome him as a part of our company.
